Kehoe Arbitration
Edward G. Kehoe brings over 32 years of exceptional experience in arbitration and litigation. Before retiring from King & Spalding in January 2025 to become an independent arbitrator, Ed handled over one hundred significant arbitrations and litigations to successful outcomes as the first chair, and also sat as an arbitrator in over 20 cases.

Ed is ranked at the top of the leaderboards for International Arbitration. He is listed in Band 1 by Chambers Global, which describes him as “a phenomenal practitioner who has notable expertise in high-value commercial and investment treaty arbitrations for an impressively high-profile client base.” Chambers USA reports: “Despite the fact that he is one of the top people in the international arbitration field, he is very down to earth. He is smart, experienced and really easy to work with.” Global Arbitration Review remarks that Ed is “a first-class advocate and a very effective cross-examiner". Legal 500 lists him in its “Hall of Fame,” and Who’s Who Legal ranks him as a “Global Leader”.
While acting primarily as counsel in arbitrations for the past three decades, Ed also sat as an independent arbitrator in over 20 matters (both as chair and party appointed), where he has earned a reputation for attention to detail, efficiency and getting to the right result. According to sources for Benchmark Litigation, “Mr. Kehoe is a commanding arbitrator”; and Chambers USA reports “sources as citing his ability to navigate through complicated issues as a key strength.”

Ed handled significant jury and bench trials in both federal and state courts in New York. He is recognized as a “US Litigation Star” by Benchmark Litigation, a “Trailblazer” by the New York Law Journal, and one of the “Nation’s Top Litigators for Business Litigation” by Corporate Counsel. Ed is a Senior Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America.

Ed headed King & Spalding’s international arbitration practice for over 15 years. Under Ed’s leadership, King & Spalding’s international group rose to become one of the world’s leading practices, consistently in Band 1 of Chambers (including the top firm). Global Arbitration Review has ranked King & Spalding's arbitration practice as #1 in the world for five of the past six years. Ed also was the managing partner of King & Spalding’s New York office for over a decade, head of its New York litigation practice and a longstanding member of the firm’s worldwide Management Committee.
